I'm behind. Very behind on my posts. Oh well.

If you want to hear stuff about Navajo and VBS and Canada still, you can ask me. I'll maybe post it someday. Not too likely that that'll happen though.

First of all, I gotta say, the first day of school was freaking long.

Where first day of school = Tuesday.

Anyways...AP Physics was okay. I'm glad Ternovan doesn't teach blocked. There are quite a few asians...Nancy, Eric, Phillip, don't know who else in that class you guys know, but there are probably at least 5 others......Schmitt is an interesting teacher though....kind of weird, like a lot of science teachers....saying his speed relative to the sun and stuff...

We didn't really do much in class, I don't think. We just had to go over some of the rules and stuff from the two booklets he was required to give us. Then we got our textbooks. Pretty big book.

We had to write our name and hour and book number on a notecard, then Schmitt had us line up in alphabetical order (as a "test") by last name. I suspect it's probably because he doesn't want to alphabetize them himself lol. So in this class I didn't have the teacher butcher up my name in an attempt to say it, and then having me tell him/her that "I go by Alice."

AP Lit wasn't too bad either. I had to print out my essays on the school computer, which tok me some time since the log-in username/password stuff changed yet again. and the bus driver was really slow, so I couldn't do it before school started. Don't know why the bus driver would be so late though, since she's had this route for at least two years already. The same bus driver since I was a freshman. The same one that misses weeks at a time for some reason or another, and the substitute bus drivers are illegitimate at reading maps/routes.

Anyways, because of that, I went past the bell signalling class to stat, but it was all good since Ms. Parish gave me a pass and I wasn't too late anyways. And because I got to class a little later, Mrs. Eschenbrenner aleady went past my name. And apparently the class told her that I go by Alice. Quite surprising, since I figured that most of the people in the class probably didn't know that my real/Chinese name is "Xiao," and I don't know many people in the class. Quite a few asians also. Only person you guys know is pobably Eric.

We first stapled our three essays together, then handed them in to the teacher. Then she went over the rules stuff from the marquette booklets and then on to the class rules and gave us a sheet on objectives of the class and topics we'll be learning and such. Then we got our textbooks, which aren't very big length-wise, but are quite thick. The pages are quite thin, too. Kind of like the ones in Bibles, but probably thicker.

Spanish. I knew I had successfully passed the Spanish III test-out test, since I saw it on infinite campus to look at my schedule, but no one had officially, or even actually, told me that I'd successfully tested out. So I was unsure of whether or not to go to the Spanish III class or the Spanish IV one. So I just figured that I'd go to the Spanish III one and see how they'd solve the problem.

We had a seating chart, and my name wasn't on it. I told Mr. Cook (O__O) about it, and I was surprised that he didn't even check if I was supposed to be in his class or not and that he didn't remember that I had tested out. But then Ms. Drabant, the Spanish IV teacher actually recognised that I had beent the one that took the test-out test (since she was the person who asked me the questions for the oral/speaking part of the test - Cook was apparently still on vacation O___O). So then she checked, confirmed that I indeed passed, and then I was able to join her class. Good thing, because Cook was reallly creepy O___O.

Drabant is rather interesting too...Energetic. lol. we didn't do much, I don't think. Except go over some school rules and class stuff.

Oh, and I didn't have the whole "Zhao/Exiaoa/ex-I-have-no-idea-how-to-say-that/*confused look* and 'I go by Alice'" thing, becase of that ordeal.

Orchestra. This year we have third lunch, so it kinda felt weird having to take four classes before eating. Mr. Saliden (sp?) was the sub since I think Mr. Nacy was still in the Middle East...We didn't do much except for talk about what we did over summer vacation. And Mr. Saliden didn't butcher up my name, surprisingly. He actually knew (or maybe it was written on there?) that "I go by Alice."

Lunch. Best things about it is that there's food, and that you're able to be by yourself, relatively speaking. Worst part is having to find a table where almost no one is sitting at.

AP Java. We had a sub. Mrs. Chambers. I had her as my sub quite a few times before. She butchered up my name. Said "Zhao." but she was on a roll with the names, so I decided just to say "here," since she's only subbing for the actual teacher, so it wouldn't really matter. lol. We basically watched a movie about the internet and the "Internet War" between microsoft and netscape..

There are quite a few asians in the class too. Majority are asians, since it's a rather small class. There's Nancy, Eric, James Wang, Casie Wang, Ravali Gummi, Ellen Wu, and I think someone else, but I don't really remember. I think it's Nevatha...should be...

In AP Calc BC, I had Werner again. She's not too bad, I guess. I like her homework policy. And she still remembered that I go by Alice. Math teachers tend to remember their students for some reason or another.

Anyways, really small class too. 12 students, including me. We got our hecka heavy, hecka bulky, hecka new calc books. They were pretty nice. Costs about $170 to replace? Something around those lines.

AP Gov, in contrast to java and calc, had quite a few people. 32 people including me, I believe, in a classroom that's smaller than the java and calc classrooms. We didn't do much, I don't think. The textbooks were on the desks, and we got to choose our seats. I usually choose seats that are toward the front, but not first row, and one of the aisle/outside seats. Interestingly enough, I got Phillip's textbook (the one he used for gov last year). More interesting is that I got his AP Euro textbook last year.

I guess I'll talk about the other day later then, since it's getting kind of late.

Oh, and I really don't like the Java teacher. She didn't teach anything, except show us what we were to do on the computer. She was gone 2 out of the first 3 days of school. She was here the second day of school, so she gave us the textbooks that day, but expects us to read all of chapter 2 (like 30 pages or something?), and have a quiz over it on Friday. With her not being here today, the day before the quiz/test. Quite annoying/frustrating. I mean, she has to do at least SOME level of teaching. Isn't that what teachers get paid to do? I think so. Unless there's some conspiracy that I don't know about...but that's a different matter altogether.

bleh.
