So Homecoming was yesterday.
It was actually pretty fun since I went with people that I know and we actually danced.
First I went to Danielle's house for pictures. We first took pictures on the porch as we waited for Nancy, Nick, and Eric to arrive.
Nancy and Nick came soon, and we figured that Eric probably went with Shareen's group, so we left to take more pictures outside, near a lake with a fountain thing.
My camera ran out of battery since I hadn't charged it nor used it a lot recently. Ah well, it's alright. Usually I'm the one taking pictures of others, and there's not a whole lot of pictures with me in them. So I guess it's kind of nice to have more pictures of me for a change. After all, it's senior year.
You'll probably see photos on facebook sometime soon.
So anyways, after pictures we went to the cheesecake factory at the mall. Even though we'd already made reservations, we still had to wait for like 45 minutes. A lot of other people in homecoming dress came too. We saw Shareen and Eric's group there, along with Mason and Ellen. They'd gotten there earlier so they left a while after we got seated. I was surprised to see Eric wearing purple. Though I guess it's not too surprising, because Shareen wore purple.
When Nancy and I went to the bathroom, a lady said that I looked pretty in my dress and when we were both done, another lady complimented us and asked why so many people were dressed up. Of course we answered, and the lady commented about how she wish she'd be able to wear such pretty dresses, and Nancy joked about how she would gladly change clothes with her. lol.
Our server was really really nice. Didn't complain even though we were all stressed about getting to homecoming on time. Since if we arrive later than 8:30 we wouldn't be allowed admittance.
The food was really good. Judy was right...the miso salmon tasted really good :3
I think Nick and I were the only one who were able to finish all of our food lol. Not that surprising since he's one of two guys in our group, miso salmon is not too big a portion of food, I think we were one of the first to get our food, I ate the miso salmon with a spoon lol, I'm a pretty fast eater, and I was really hungry lol.
We got to homecoming on time. The dance was pretty fun and no, I did not just stand there. I'd forgotten how nasty the floor could get. Eew.
Saw a lot of people we knew that wasn't in our group.
Oh, saw Kunal there lol. He went with Alena.
Looked to see if anyone was wearing the same dress that I was, and saw that no one was. Or if someone was, they'd probably have left. That was a relief.
When homecoming court came, it was too loud so I couldn't hear who the homecoming kings and queens were. Still don't know. Still don't really care.
Can't really say much about the actual dance. I mean, we just danced.
When I got my shoes back, I tried to put them back on and I accidentally stepped on my toes with my other foot, which already had the shoe on. Luckily I didn't step down all the way, otherwise that would've hurt like...heck.
Nick, Nancy, and I went outside and stood on the steps outside the gym entrance as we waited for Danielle and the others to come out.
Lol a weird thing. I was on the phone with my mom I think at the time, but Nancy told me that this random black guy who was passing by looked in ourdirection and said "D*** there are some hot asians here tonight." Which I thought was funny and really weird at the same time. Apparently Nick heard some of it too and was like wth.
Afterwards, we went to Madison's house. Her house is huge...double doors too lol.
Kind of scary location though...it's surrounded by woods and you have to go down these wooden stairs and at the end, stone type steps. Now I'm really really clumsy in heels, as I've mentioned before, so it took a long time for me to get down @___@ At the end 1/4 of it, I held onto Danielle's hand to steady myself. I did NOT want to trip and fall =____=
Anyway, at Madison's house we ate the cheesecakes that we bought to-go from the cheesecake factory. We shared a slice in pairs according to taste, or dates. I shared a White Chocolate Truffle Red Raspberry Cheesecake with Madison. It tasted sooo good.
Blasted music from my cellphone on Madison's speakers. Of course, it included some KPop. Lol.
Dipped our feet in Madison's outdoor pool. Or was it a pond? Hard to tell in the dark.
Played a round of ultimate ninja lol.
I won, but it was a pretty unsatisfying game...When it was only Danielle and I, she just gave up...I don't even know why. Oh well,
By that time, Mason, Ellen, and John came.
After a while of talking and random dancing to music, they busted out the 64 and played super smash bros. I tried playing, but the controls were unfamiliar to me so of course I lost. I was playing against Mason and Nick anyway, so it's no surprise lol.
Parents came and picked me up at 11:50.
All in all, people liked my dress (we made a good choice Lily lol), and they liked my shoes (which I've worn for the fourth time I think?), and the whole night was really fun. And, if anything, stress-relieving.
I'm thinking of maybe going to Turnabout this year too. I mean, it's senior year. Gotta live it up and enjoy being a teenager. School work and college apps out of the equation, it's pretty nice being a teenager. Soon I'll be 20, 25, and old. Lol. JK, but really.
Live without regrets, right?
