Yeah, I haven't really given an update on what I've been doing in Canada.
Actually, I haven't even given you guys an account of what happened at Navajo and VBS. >.< Once a procrastinator, always a procrastinator. Bleh.
I'm pretty sure you probably wouldn't want to read what has happened to me over the past three weeks, so I won't put it down all at once.
So, I'll just break it up in different posts.
I'm probably going to go out of order. Actually, I am.
Because first, I'll talk about my vacation in Canada (so far).
On Friday, we got up at like 4:30am to get ready and eat before leaving for Shawn's house.
At Shawn's house, we unloaded all of our stuff into Shawn's dad's car. Then we went to the airport.
At the airport, we got our boarding passes and figured out that we had to pay $20 for each piece of luggage (that were not carry-on). We had thought that each person would get one suitcase free, but apparently that wasn't the case. But it ended up okay, because all of them (except for one) we could bring as carry-on. When we got to security, I realized that I had two bottles of shampoo and conditioner. They were barely used either, but they were in big bottles, so I had to throw them away :'( Oh well...at least it wasn't expensive shampoo...
The security people probably took it from the trash and brought it home to use...jk
The first plane we went on was tiny. Each row had three seats, and each row looked like this: A(aisle)BC
The capitalized letters represent the seat numbers, just in case you couldn't figure it out.
Anyways, I pretty much just slept the entire flight. And listened to my iPod. It was good because I had the one seat (seat A) and was near the front of the plane. We landed at Washington/Dulles (Dulles airport in Washington) and waited to board the next flight to Syracuse, New York. We didn't really have time to wait in line for food, so we didn't really eat anything. But my mom and Allen went to some store and bought honey roasted peanuts, regular peanuts, and a bag of chips. Oh, and a thing about the airport. It was the same airport that we transferred to when we went to China.
When we arrived at the airport in Syracuse, we saw Uncle Ming De (my dad's older brother). Allen and I were laughing so hard at how similar Uncle De was to my dad.
Then we rode in his van to McDonalds. What do you think we did there? Eat, of course. They had like Mario Double Dash, except only one of the controllers worked. The other one could only go left and right, but not up and down...Which, when you're playing a racing game/Double Dash, can be a real hassle. Needless to say, while using the broken controller, I lost. Quite miserably too. Anyways...
Then we went back on the rode and went to my uncle's house. We looked at their plants/garden and stuff then went inside and took a small tour of their house. Big dinner, took a lot of pictures, then went to sleep.
More on Canada next time. ;]
And just fyi, this post was written before my previous post ('Flight Delayed"), but I just didn't post it for some reason...
