So I haven't blogged for a while...well, the last time I did was this Monday, so that's pretty good.
This is just a random almagamation of things that have been happening, things that are going to happen, etc.
This will probably have no logical order lol.
Well, last night, I had a really strange dream. Apparently I was putting songs on iTunes or something for some of the time. And the only thing I remember putting on iTunes was some fictional song by the Pussy Cat Dolls featuring some guy group. Don't remember which group, or if it was even a real group, but they looked like gangsters lol. And I think there was one white guy. Hm...part of the dream also had to do with a mall, I think...
The weirdest part of the dream was that Justin Hsu (the guy who moved to Taiwan a few years ago) was in love/really really liked Gabby Tang. The girl who sometimes comes to Flame. Lol. That was so weird. And Justin had also given Gabby this slip of paper that told her how he felt (even though it was already obvious that he liked her) with really cheesy things that I don't quite remember though I remember the writing was in cursive. On the same piece of paper, he had gotten his friends to write about how he felt toward her and to confirm that he liked her or something. Yeah...so weird...those two haven't met before and couldn't have the chance to meet. Well I guess there's always a possibility, but that possibility is really slim...
Sigh. Now on to talking about reality.
This week was pretty tiring...
Corbett likes to torture people...
Last night was interesting...part of it at least =_____=
Bake Sale...Remember how we raised more than $300? I hope this year's bake sale will achieve the same or greater success.
I don't think I'll be able to do the same thing as last year and bake the stuff during the sermon, so the cookies and stuff might not be as fresh as last year's...especially since we're going to be doing some baking in Flame on Friday..
Lol Yvonne had the idea of selling cups of fruit. Interesting idea, not sure if people will like that, but I'm thinking it could go both ways...Anyway, I'm not going to stop her from doing it since if it's donation, people could just be willing to donate and not necessarily buy anything or buy something like a fruit cup.
Speaking of the bake sale, I had wanted to make caramel apple cookies. It doesn't seem too difficult to make. And you know how sometimes you search for something, and even after you've found what you're looking for, something else catches your eye and you start looking that up? Well that kind of happened to me. I guess it was also because I was craving some miso salmon, so I was looking up recipies for like honey-glazed salmon and miso salmon, and I found a miso salmon with sake butter recipie, which apparently is supposed to taste the same as the miso salmon from CCF.
I really want some salmon now.
I'm thinking for the spring or valentine dinner (not quite sure which it'll be this year) that the guys can cook salmon...I mean, it doesn't seem difficult to make, as long as you can find the ingredients. Though they probably shouldn't make the miso salmon with sake butter one, since that one has a LOT of ingredients. I'd still like to make that one day myself though :)
Wow I'm really hungry now.
Anyway..The dinner...another thing for me to plan. Lol. Well I know that I don't have to plan it, but I'm just guessing that it might be better if I do it than if DD and/or Yvonne does it. No offense, of course, but they don't quite share the same tastes or expectations for such things as we do. Expectations as in the kind of thing we imagine or hope to see when thinking about like a Valentine or Spring Dinner.
I'm thinking that for this year, I want to see at least one more game, a meal for the ladies that they won't already know about (yeah about the salmon thing, shhh ;) and I'm hoping that that'll really come through...salmonnnnn yum), and that the dessert will actually be a surprise to the guys. I'm not sure if we're going to do random pairings like last year or have the girls choose. I'm thinking the former, because that's a little less awkward lol and just easier for both the guys and the girls. Maybe we could make that string game a sort of tradition that happens for the next years that we have the spring dinner.
I'm also thinking of putting someone in charge of the guys' side (that's a guy, of course). That way, we can communicate better about what's happening and also ensure that DD doesn't do something too cheesy in the bad way.
Sigh, but that's like four months away.
But judging on the amount of people who will come and how much time we'll have, we could have like a dance party-type thing lmao. Not sure as to how that'll work, but I guess we'll just have to find church-appropriate songs. Or at least not church-inappropriate songs. Yeah, not sure how that's going to work. If we actually do it, it'll be more of a slow-dance party lol.
Let's see...
Next next Sunday is the bake sale, and I'm helping Yvonne put together a slideshow video type thing about harvest party that will be shown in service that day. Haven't started that yet....And the only pictures I have of Harvest party are pre-setup. And the only picture that I can actually use for the slideshow would be the one with Shawn in the Native American tribal headgear pointing to a bag of "Saying Plum" candies. The other pictures are of said candies, a table, and a few of a megahuman.
I really hope people will be able to help out with the Harvest Party...I mean, there's no show if people don't show. (See that antanaclasis? lol)
But yeah...in all seriousness, please please PLEASE come help. RSVP on facebook too if you haven't already. Sankyuu :)
Hm...ACT next Saturday...I hope I'll have time to make the effort to finally study for it.
Eh..I've ran out of things to say.
BYE! :D
